Welcome to the Brookfield Elementary School

We proudly welcome you to this digital portal into our learning community! As a rural community school in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont, we offer a positive, rigorous, community-supported, family-like environment where students have access to a world-class education focused on preparation for global citizenship. You might say we provide our young students with "roots and wings." Our supportive and encouraging school, parents, and surrounding community provide a safe and solid grounding for our young learners to launch them into their future endeavors. Our rigorous 21st Century curriculum, an enriching arts program, a focus on physical and emotional wellness, our highly trained staff, and our access to the most recent technology tools create dynamic and interactive learning opportunities for every child.

As a small version of our greater society, our students from all backgrounds, abilities, and belief systems learn to value the input of others with respect and to work together to achieve common goals. Ultimately, we aim to support the development of future citizens who will bring their skills and talents to bear on the complex and challenging issues of tomorrow. It is exciting to see the future potential of each child unfold before our eyes!

Additionally, we fully believe that it is critical to the success of our students that we nurture a reciprocal relationship with the community around us. We share a collective responsibility for raising all of our children for the betterment of our community and the world beyond. As we seek ways to create that two-way street of care and support, we welcome your ideas and invite you to visit and get to know us better. We encourage you to call and arrange a time to see for yourself what Brookfield Elementary may offer you, your children, and your family. We enthusiastically welcome you to our web site, and we truly hope to hear from you!
