I wanted to reach out and provide an update to our folks who met to discuss life skills programming for our students earlier this year.
Through the budget process, we are able to bring back the On Your Own course that served this purpose for many, many years at RUHS. The curriculum for the course will be revamped this summer to include all the crucial topics that came up during our group discussions. The course will be in place this fall and will expand over time as our budget allows.
As a quick reminder, the next district level open forum will be held this Wednesday (22nd) at 6:30 PM in the RUHS media center. This will be the final in a series of listening sessions and discussions about the draft homework policy we are considering for next year. To review that proposed policy, please click on the banner announcement at the top of the page.
Sincerely, Layne Millington, Superintendent
